Open Boundaries and Cultural Estuaries

How do we help “outsiders” find their way into our life together? Featured speaker at the 2012 C3 Conference, Mako Fujimura, presented the need and the challenge for churches to develop open boundaries even while keeping their orthodoxy. Congregations should naturally draw outsiders into their communities, and they should encourage congregants to serve and minister in contexts well outside church borders.
