Brain storming activity:

1. What are some of the things that are associated with the word, social?

2. What is the definition of issues?

So……. what are social issues?

Social issues may arise due to:

1.breakdown of morals and values

2.  financial constraints

3. law and order

4. poverty

Read pages 67 -71 pages and carefully and list the social issues outlined including types, causes and ways to get help when faced with those problems.

Think about other examples of social issues affecting Caribbean families and make a note of them.
