Physical Changes I

A physical change occurs when the form of the substance is changed without changing its chemical composition. E.g. water as  solid has the same chemical composition as water vapour.

Most solids becomes a liquid then a gas when they are heated. A change in state is caused by a change in temperature and consequently a change in the kinetic energy of the particles.
